How to have better sex with a small penis

When it comes to having great sex, penis size really doesn’t matter.

It’s not the size of the wave, but the motion of the ocean, after all.

And yet for many people, it’s very much still a thing – so we understand why, if you have a small penis, you might have worries.

The good news is that if you are feeling a touch insecure, there are tweaks you can make to boost your confidence and everyone’s pleasure

Madalaine Munroe, a sex expert, says: ‘Your ability to give someone pleasure is not dependent on the size of your penis.

‘Given the prominence of porn and objectification of the penis size, it is totally understandable if it is an area of your body that brings up insecurities.

‘The size of a penis doesn’t create great sex but communication, connection and presence do. The best sex is a co-creation; it requires two people being honest about what they want and sharing this with each other.’

The best sex positions for a small penis

Ness Cooper, a sex consultant, says there isn’t one set position to work with – but there are plenty that can help with deeper penetration.

She says: ‘Communicating with your sexual partner that you would like to try different sex positions can help you become aware of different sensations you can feel during sex – remember sex doesn’t have to be orgasm focused and this applies to those with penises too, as long as it’s consensual and feels good that it important.’

The best classic positions for deeper penetration

Madalaine says: ‘Spend some time getting to know your partner’s anatomy, you can understand which positions help you both to have the most pleasurable experiences with the anatomy you have.

‘I recommend positions that allow for multiple areas of the body to be stimulated.’

You might also be keen to find ways for the deepest level of penetration – these can help.

Doggy: This is a great one to start with as the angle can create deeper penetration, and allows you to be in control of thrusting.

A variation that can increase sensation is if the other person has their legs together.

Legs up: Invite your partner to lay on their back, kneel in front of them and as you enter them, invite them to lift their hips up and rest their legs on your chest/shoulders.

The amount your partner may want to lift will depend on their flexibility. From here, you may want to lift up, place your hands on the floor and bring your partner’s legs towards her while they rest on your chest – this will further deepen penetration.

In this position, the weight of your body can create a feeling of further engulfment. It also allows you to be in control of pressure and speed.

Cowgirl variations: From the cowgirl, you could invite your partner to bring their legs into a squatting position with feet flat on the floor which will change the angle, from here you can also control thrusting and pressure by holding onto their bum.

The angle of your penis may also have an impact on which of these feels more pleasurable. So Reverse Cowgirl, where your partner is now facing away from you, will create a different angle for a different sensation. From here you could caress or play with the other person’s bum, back and hair.

For deeper penetration, place a pillow under your hips to elevate them.

It’s also worth remembering that not everyone likes deep penetration.

Ness adds: ‘Shallowing is a method where only part of the penis enters the vagina and a lot of individuals really enjoy this method of stimulation.

‘Deeper penetration doesn’t always mean better, as some individuals with vaginas
only enjoy shallow stimulation as there are more pleasurable nerve endings to stimulate here.’

The best toys to enhance sex with a small penis

There are some sex toys that would can increase the pleasure of those with smaller penises, according to Ness.

  • Penis sleeves that are worn, can be placed on the penis and widen the girth of it. Some also have extra textures that can be pleasurable and
offer extra stimulation to the wearer and the individual they are penetrating.
  • Penis extenders are hollow dildos that an individual can wear over a
penis and it can increase the length and girth.
  • Couples vibrators that are worn in the vagina, such as the We-Vibe can help add sensations and make the vagina feel more “full” when worn.
  • Cock rings with internal parts, that slip into the vagina or anus as the
individual with the penis penetrates their partner can also make it feel like they have a larger penis.
  • Asking a partner to wear a butt plug can make the vagina also feel
small, and can help direct the shaft of an erect penis to rub more
    against the vaginal walls.

How to build confidence in your penis size

Madalaine tells us: ‘For those who feel insecure about their penis size, I recommend mirror work.

‘Hold this part of your body in the mirror while repeating supportive affirmations that resonate with you.

‘This practice is one that requires repetition, so try it out for at least 21 days and see how you get on.’
