Last week saw the exciting news that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their beautiful new baby girl.
Paying tribute to The Queen and Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana, she was given the name of Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
We’re still yet to be graced with a touching picture of the bundle of joy, but nonetheless, we know it will be worth the wait.
Throughout her pregnancy, Meghan has made sure to impress with her maternity style, but now as she enters another stage of motherhood with son Archie by her side, we can’t wait to see how her style evolves.
It is a known fact that when it comes to The Royal Family, they do not mess around with their stylish outfit choices.
So, we thought to take a trip down memory lane and relive some of the best royal mum style moments.
Let’s start off with the new mum herself when she and Prince Harry stepped out for their first appearance with son Archie two days after his birth (6 May 2019) on May 8.
Meghan made sure to show off her post-pregnancy glow in a flawless Grace Wales Bonner trench dress with nude suede heels.
Moving on to a lady that we are no stranger to and always being influenced by her style and that can only be The Duchess of Cambridge.
In 2019 whilst attending the Trooping The Colour at Buckingham Palace, Kate sported a super stylish outfit from none other than one of her favourite designers, Alexander McQueen.
The lemon dress coat was styled with a colour-matching yellow fascinator by Philip Treacy whilst young Prince Louis made sure not to miss the events.
The image of Kate holding Louis made us think back to this moment in 1988 when Princess Diana sported the same pose with a young Prince Harry on her hip.
Whilst we might have been distracted slightly from Harry being his usual cheeky self, Diana displayed an outfit that made us green with envy.
Wearing a green oversized dress coat with statement shoulder pads, we’re loving the matching white trim on the ensemble and her gorgeous hat.
Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, welcomed their son August Philip Hawke Brooksbank on February 9 2021.
On February 20, the couple stepped out to show little August off to the world and Eugenie made sure to look her usual radiant self as she sported a white knitted dress with a beige coat and accessorised the look with an amber velvet headband.
A photo that oozes style and is one of our favourites is this rare image of Queen Elizabeth II next to Princess Anne and her grandson Peter Phillips at his christening on December 12 1977.
Her Majesty sported a brilliant emerald green dress with a matching hat whilst Princess Anne sported a blue abstract print dress with a matching bow in her hair.
We love that they both have colour coordinated outfits but they’ve also got very similar looks as one another.
In April 1991, Princess Diana took her two sons on a skiing holiday to Lech, Austria and all we have to say is thank you for this moment of the three of them in their ski gear getting ready to hit the slopes.
Some may say they look like three of the Power Rangers but we’re head-over-heels for the colourful looks.
One of the underrated members of The Royal Family is none other than Sophie, Countess of Wessex.
In 2018, whilst attending the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank alongside husband Prince Edward and son James Viscount Severn, Sophie dressed to impress in a flawless dark navy, elegant dress by designer Azzedine Alaia.
This was paired with a fabulous fascinator by one of her go-to hate designers Jane Taylor.
Another rare photo we don’t get to see very often is this of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip at Windsor Castle in 1965.
Naturally, it’s a beautiful photo of them together, but what we especially picked up on is The Queen’s effortlessly chic grey skirt suit which is a style we are so used to seeing whenever she steps out and we get to see them in a wide array of colours.
The Cambridge family ended 2020 with a stunning Christmas card as the whole clan sat together on barrels of hay in a country-themed photo.
For the moment, Kate wore a burgundy sweater by J.Crew with a Sezane ruffle collar shirt underneath and finished the look with a pair of dark wash skinny jeans.
Just as nice as it is to see Kate in her glamorous looks, we love her mum-style just as much.
Of course we all love to see our favourite royals adorn their finest jewels and designer gowns but we’re also a fan of their off-duty looks and Zara Phillips is a professional at this.
Being a lover of all things equestrian, this moment of Zara holding daughter Mia Tindall back in July 2015 has us rushing to copy the simple yet cool look.
Another stylish moment from The Countess of Wessex was in December 2013 when she, Prince Edward and daughter Lady Louise Windsor attended the Christmas meeting at Ascot Racecourse.
When it comes to The Royal Family, the ladies are the strongest style influencers with their coats and Sophie definitely gives Kate a run for her money in this tweed jacket that has red buttons to match the pattern and statement collar.
We love it when we see The Royals on parent duty and this moment from September 2019 saw Kate and Prince William escort Prince George and Princess Charlotte for her first day of school at Thomas’s Battersea in London.
Yes, we were caught up in the moment but it was once again Kate’s outfit that stole the show as she wore a wonderful pink and red ditsy floral shirt dress by Michael Kors for the special occasion.
Ending it with who we started with, earlier in the year Harry and Meghan announced the joyful news that they were expecting their second child together.
To commemorate the moment, the couple flawed us all in a touching black and white photo of them both.
Meghan inspired not only us but many fans with her bohemian Carolina Herrera dress as we stared longingly at the adorable photo.
As we eagerly await to see the first picture of their new baby, we also can’t wait to see what the new mum will be sporting for the debut.
