  • Chef jokingly mocked his ITV cohost’s recipe saying ‘Iceland has better burgers’
  • Gino appear to take it well commenting on the video ‘I can’t wait for you to cook Italian food so I can get my revenge’

Gordon Ramsay has slammed Gino D’Acampo and branded him a ‘donut’ after the chef shared his burger recipe to TikTok.

The celebrity chef, 54, ‘duetted’ with his 44-year-old Road Trip co-host after he took to the video sharing app to post his burger night recipe, which involved a half pork, half beef patty on a toasted bun with caramelised onions, English mustard and red lettuce.

In his original video, which has racked up more than 1.4 million views, Gino builds the burger from his home in Sardinia, Italy to serve to his family for ‘burger night’.

But he was quickly shot down by Gordon, who playfully told his friend to ‘leave the cooking to me’, in a second video which has 1.6 million hits and was filmed from his home in Cornwall.

‘Alright guys, tonight is burger night,’ Gino says as he makes the fast food treat.

‘Let me show you, very simple, toasted bun, you have to do it, a little bit of English mustard, a bit of mayonnaise, red lettuce and crispy lettuce on top, that’s it,’ he explains, putting the burger together.

Picking up the fried patties from the pan, Gino then adds: ‘Then the burger, I make them with half beef and half pork. So you’ve got the moisture of the pork and the taste of the beef.’

‘Then panchetta, smokey, crispy, panchetta, then at the end caramelised onions. Ciao’.

While dozens praised the ‘delicious’ and ‘indulgent’ looking burgers, Gordon wasn’t impressed.

‘Seriously, Gino D’Acampo making burgers,’ he sighs in the reaction video.

‘Always toast the bun,’ he begins.

‘English mustard? What about Chipotle mayonnaise?  What about lettuce? You don’t put red lettuce on a burger kid, how many times have I told you?’

After Gino picks up the burgers from the pan, Gordon jokes: ‘Are you not going to cook the burger?’

On the revelation the patties are made from two meats, Gordon adds: ‘Hold on a minute, it’s called a beef burger for a reason, not a pork burger,’

‘Gino, how many times have I told you, leave the cooking to me,’ the chef berates.

‘Panchetta, it’s called bacon you donut,’ Gordon adds when the chef describes his burger topping.

‘Come on man, how many times have I told you to make the burger what are you doing to me?’

As Gino begins to add more toppings, Gordon gets more and more frustrated.

‘Caramelised onions, balsamic vinegar, come on, they’ve got better burgers in Iceland, aisle four! What are you doing, seriously??

Appearing to take it in good spirits, Gino commented on the video writing: ‘I can’t wait to see a video of you cooking Italian food and then I will take my revenge. Miss you chef’.

Others appeared to love the video, praising the pair’s relationship.

‘These two legends are both funny as hell,’ said one, ‘I can’t wait to see their road trip with Fred,’ referring to their ITV show with maître d’hôtel Fred Siriex.

‘Friendship goals! You guys have me in stitches,’ said another.

‘Chef fight, chef fight!’ joked a third.

Other joked that Iceland’s burger were ‘actually good’ and pointed out that Gino has his own line of ‘authentic Italian frozen food’ at the budget frozen supermarket.

Known for his harsh criticism, Gordon has hit out as dozens of wannabe chefs in his #RamsayReacts series on TikTok.

The celebrity chef, who is currently staying in the Cornwall home he shares with wife Tana, 45, and his five children aged between one and 22, has been posting reaction videos to the video-sharing app to offer some very tough advise to home cooks.

In one, he reacts to one clip calling a healthy food blogger ‘an idiot sandwich’ while he also berates one user for making a beef Wellington with a sausage.

In another clip, Gordon reacts to a video of US-based account Mythical Kitchen, who are making a ‘ramen grilled cheese sandwich’, which he says he’d like to ‘ram this in the trash’.
