Forget the honeymoon, Carrie Symonds has barely had a moment to reflect since she tied the knot with Boris Johnson last month.

Whether it be drinking cuppas with the Royals or strolling Cornish beaches with America's First Lady, she's had a speedy introduction to life as the Prime Minister's wife.

But while her daily schedule has been packed, one thing that hasn't let Carrie down is her ability to dress for the occasion.

Indeed when she and the Prime Minister attended the G7 summit last week in Cornwall, Carrie more than held her own against the storied company.

And it appears she's been taking tips from the top, with her bold but sophisticated style reminding us of another fashion influencer – none other than the Duchess of Cambridge.

Of course, anyone that takes style notes from Kate Middleton will be left looking regal and sophisticated just as she does.

One of the looks we have to start with is this phenomenal blue suit which Carrie wore on the second day to meet world leaders.

The bold cobalt suit is from Amanda Wakely, a favourite designer of Kate’s.

Carrie previously proved her commitment to sustainable fashion by renting her £3,000 wedding dress for £40 from My Wardrobe HQ.

And for her one off outfit she did it again, renting the classy look for just £160, which is a much more friendly price than the £990 retail tag.

This outfit transported us back to when Kate wore a navy blue blazer from Smythe and paired it with matching trousers and a bright blue blouse from Lisou to honour the NHS as part of the Pride of Britain awards in 2020.

Another look which we adored was when Carrie and Boris met U.S. President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden.

Carrie sported a red button up dress from one of Kate’s much-loved brand’s L.K.Bennett which held a striking resemblance to Kate’s green Gucci dress that The Duchess wore in 2019 to attend a day at Wimbledon Tennis.

We love the matching button up details on both dresses and think that each lady oozed elegance in these similar looks.

Carrie pulled it out of the bag with a fabulous fuschia dress by designer Roksanda which was rented from rental fashion service Hurr for only £107 as opposed to £1,395.

We know that the colour pink is one of Kate’s favourite colours and this vivid shade reminds us of the ME+EM dress which she wore during the Royal tour of Scotland in May.

Both dresses cinched the ladies in at the waist and had brilliant pleat details down the front to give the looks a more refined edge.

Another brand which both ladies seem to be a fan of is none other than The Vampires Wife which we have even seen fellow Royal ladies such as Princess Beatrice sport.

For a reception with The Queen at the Eden Project, Carrie opted for a dark floral number which had ¾ sleeves and ruffle cuffs.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore a fantastic dress from the brand during the Royal tour of Ireland in March 2020.

Carrie might have rented most of her outfits for the G7 summit weekend but she has proved just how easy it is to get The Duchesses looks for a fraction of the price and we can’t thank her enough for it.
