Famed in the US for its legendary burgers, Wendy’s has announced its plans to roll out restaurants across the pond. It has been announced that this summer, the American fast-food chain will be opening its first UK-based restaurant. To the delight of burger fans, more Wendy’s restaurants are then expected to open in the UK in due course.
What will be on the menu?
The exact menu Wendy’s will offer its UK customers is not yet known.
But many will be hoping some of the chain’s American menu items will make it to their new UK restaurants.
Wendy’s is renowned for its iconic square-shaped burgers and Chocolate Frosty desserts.
The brand offers burger items in the US like the Dave’s and the Pretzel Bacon Pub burgers, available in single, double or triple stacks.
For bacon lovers, the Baconator and the Son of Baconator are also available on the American menu.
US chicken fans can also rejoice in a range of nuggets and chicken burgers.
There is also an array of exciting side dishes and fries to choose from.
According to The Sun, Wendy’s has confirmed Dave’s Single burger will be available in the UK.
The Avocado Chicken Salad, Spicy Chicken Sandwich and the Chocolate Frosty are also expected to make the cut.
There will also be some exciting new exclusive additions to the UK menu, including vegetarian options.

Is there going to be a new Wendy’s near you?
Already a household name in the US, Wendy’s now plans to grow its presence in the UK.
The popular fast-food chain will first open in a few select locations to begin with before nationwide rollout is expected to begin.
The first location where Wendy’s is expected to open is Reading on June 2.
A spokesperson for the company said: “Our first location is in Reading and we are exploring additional opportunities in the London area.
“The brand is excited to enter the UK with company-owned and operated restaurants this year, and we are looking for franchisees to grow with us across the United Kingdom.”
Wendy’s restaurants are also expected to open in Stratford and Oxford.
Abigail Pringle, head of international operations, said she envisaged the restaurant growing to a “significant scale” in the UK before expanding to Europe.
The chain will be partnering with food delivery service Uber Eats, to bring Wendy’s food to people at home too.
