Booking Office 1869, King’s Cross, London
Set within the spectacular Gothic Revival setting of St Pancras International’s vast former booking office, and attached to the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, Booking Office 1869’s surroundings are sure to impress as much as its food.
After a creative cocktail at the central bar (try the St Pancras Sgroppino with pear vodka, lemon and ginger sorbet and champagne), settle down for the likes of coal-roasted poussin, monkfish and potato curry or steak au poivre.

Gees Restaurant & Bar, Oxford
This historic venue, which originally started life as a greengrocer and florist in 1897, has just reopened after a £1.5 million refurbishment.
The Grade II listed conservatory is now joined by two new dining spaces: secluded courtyard terrace the Secret Garden and private dining space Gees Gallery.
New head chef Matt Smith will serve up Mediterranean-style dishes using local produce, from wood-fired octopus to grilled lamb cutlets.

Dakota Grill, Leeds
Think Yorkshire puds are the best bit of a Sunday roast? Well, now you can experience a whole menu devoted to them.
Executive head chef Craig Rogan – son of Michelin-starred chef Simon – has created four different pudding combos, including wild mushroom, pearl onion and smoked pancetta; Easingwold pork stuffing, black pudding and apple; and ox cheek and bone marrow mash.
Veggies can tuck into the Yorkshire blue cheese with caramelised onion gravy. Available on Sundays.

Holm, South Petherton, Somerset
Somerset has become quite the go-to for good food in recent years and it’s bolstered by this new addition from the team behind London hits Salon, Levan and Larry’s.
A restaurant with rooms, it aims to be a friendly place for both locals and visitors alike.
Chef Nicholas Balfe uses Holm’s own garden and works with local suppliers to provide fresh ingredients for nature-inspired dishes such as mackerel with burnt apple and salsify, and BBQ leek with mushroom.
