Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Lidl and Aldi have all shared food recalls for items sold in stores. These have been recalled due to health concerns and safety fears.

Lidl GB

Crownfield Wholegrain Wheat Bixies

A warning has been issued for the cereal product as it may contain pieces of plastic, making it unsafe to consume.

The affected packs are 720g with the best before dates of January 10, January 11 and January 12, 2022, and are specific to stores in England.

A Lidl statement said: “If you have bought the above mentioned product with the affected BBE date, we advise you do not eat this.

“Instead, return it to a Lidl GB store for a full refund, with or without a receipt. Alternatively, please dispose of the product and email [email protected] including a photo of the affected product and BBE date.”

Morrisons

Morrisons Choco Crackles

The supermarket chain recalled Morrisons Choco Crackles due to the possible presence of plastic.

The affected packs are 375g with the best before date of November 2021.

The product can be returned to stores for a full refund.

Aldi

Harvest Morn Crisp Rice

The cereal product may also contain plastic, the supermarket chain reported.

Shoppers should look out for the pack size 375g, batch codes 10470953, 10480953 and 10490953, and best before date November 2021.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) website said: “This product has been found to contain pieces of plastic which makes the product unsafe to eat.”

Tesco

Tesco Tzatziki

The dip has been recalled as some batches were filled with Sour Cream and Chive Dip instead.

Because of this, some allergens on the label are not correct, and the product includes eggs not listed.

Customers should check for the pack size 200g with the best before date April 12, 2021.

Asda

Asda Two Original Chicken Chargrills

The food products have been recalled due to the possible presence of salmonella, which can cause symptoms such as sickness and fever.

The packs being recalled are 170g, with the batch code 31120953 and best before date September 6, 2022.

Nutricia baby food

Cow & Gate and Aptamil products have been recalled as they could be unsafe to consume.

More batches have now been included in the recall, and they are available to buy in Tesco, Asda and Morrisons.

The FSA website states: “Nutricia is recalling Cow & Gate and Aptamil Muesli products because some packs have been found to contain pieces of apple stalks.

“The presence of the apple stalks presents a choking hazard to babies making these products unsafe to eat.”

Cow & Gate My First Muesli 10+ months

Pack size 330g

Best before December 20, 2021 and January 4, 2022

Aptamil Oats, Raisin & Apple Bircher Muesli 10+ months

Pack size 275g

Best before January 16, 2022

Anyone who has purchased the affected packs are asked not to consume them, and instead return the items to store for a full refund.
