As the UK is hit with record-breaking temperatures, Britons are doing the best they can to try and stay cool. Iceland customers has praised the retailer’s new ice cream for being “refreshing” amid the current heatwave.
Iceland often changes and updates its stock to cater for customers’ needs.
The latest product to hit the supermarket’s shelves is the Slush Puppie ice cream.
The frozen food specialists have two Slush Puppie ice creams available.
Slush Puppie The Original Ice Cream can be bought in stores now for £3.
This comes in two flavours – Blue Raspberry and Strawberry.
The 500ml tubs are exclusive to Iceland, meaning they are not available anywhere else.
Shoppers have already raved about the ice cream on the food retailer’s website.
One person said: “Tastes amazing and love the texture!! Highly recommend, now a household favourite!”

Another person wrote: “This is a mega product, couldn’t recommend it more!”
Another shopper commented: “This was surprisingly good! Don’t know why some of the reviews are one star, tastes just like an ice cream version of the drink but you aren’t left with a load of tasteless ice at the bottom lol.”
One customer said: “Tates amazing! Real hit with all the family.”
Another person added: “Really refreshing and sweet, not sickly, definitely will be buying again! Loved it.”
However, not everyone was as impressed with the new product.
One person wrote: “I was excited to try this as I’m a big fan of Slush Puppies. The texture of the ice cream felt really strange and it’s just sickly sweet. I also found it didn’t taste like blue raspberry at all.”
Another person commented: “I really did not like it. It was too odd, the taste was all over the place, I wouldn’t recommend.”
One customer simply said: “Rancid. Nothing like the drink.”
Iceland is not the only supermarket to have recently revived the Slush Puppie craze.
Back in May, Aldi launched an old-school Slush Puppie machine as part of its Specialbuys.
Costing £54.99, the machine came with a four-pack of syrups, paper cups, and straws.
It gave shoppers to different options: to make either a fine or coarse slush.
The product proved to be extremely popular and quickly sold out after going on sale.
However, Aldi often reintroduced products to its shelves and the Slush Puppie machine might be in stock again soon.
