If you’ve struggled to pick up a pack of Little Moons over recent months, you’re not alone.
The mochi ice cream balls have been notoriously hard to come by since they went viral on TikTok earlier this year.
Currently, the treats are available in a whole host of delicious flavours including pistachio, passionfruit and mango, coconut, strawberries and cream and more.
But now there are three new varieties landing, which are bound to go down a storm with sweet tooths – including a very unusual addition to the line-up.
The new summertime-inspired range features a candy floss flavour in a dreamy pink shade, as well as an Eton Mess mochi – made up of creamy strawberry ice cream that’s studded with pieces of strawberry and light meringue. The signature rice dough is also dusted with a zingy strawberry powder.
However, the third new flavour is a little off the beaten track.
Little Moons will also be releasing a bold fish and chips flavour. But before you recoil in horror, just know that it has a sweet-yet-savoury make-up.
The new ball features a combination of tangy vinegar and mini chocolate chips throughout.
Each one is encased in soft and chewy mochi dough that replicates the colour of golden batter and is topped off with an adorable white chocolate fish.
While it might sound rogue, we have faith that the Little Moons team know what they are doing.
The brand new flavours will be available to buy from the Little Moons website from July 5.
Foodie Instagram account @kevssnackreviews has shared the news with his foodie followers and there’s been a mixed reaction regarding the third new flavour.
One person replied: ‘OMG we need.’
While another posted: ‘Yes!!! But not the fish and chips one, that sounds grim.’
Someone else added: ‘Not sure about fish and chips.’
