Lidl has withdrawn a popular chocolate bar from its shelves this week after it was discovered that certain batches could contain “pieces of plastic”.
A Food recall alert by the UK Food Standards Agency stated that the hazelnut chocolate is “unsafe to eat” due to the”possible presence” of the inedible material.
The Fin Carré Fruit & Nut Milk Chocolate is just one of many items sold by the brand in Lidl, offered for a budget price of just 59p.
According to Latest Deals, the sweet snack was recently on sale for 29p, meaning more customers may have purchased it than usual.
Lidl GB has urged customers to follow specific guidance if they have bought a recalled batch of the item.
