A three-week-long rosé wine festival is coming to London very soon

Summer is just around the corner, which means rosé season is almost upon us.

Whether you like it as pale as possible or bursting with fruity flavours, there’s a new event that is bound to please rosé lovers in the capital.

Covent Garden is set to host a three-week-long festival dedicated to the pink wine, at its famous Piazza.

Not only will there be chilled glasses of the glorious pink stuff, but cocktails and frosé, too – as well as all kinds of rosé-themed delights.

Rosé Festival will see pop-up bars from the likes of Mirabeau, Amie Wine, HUN Wine, Chez Antoinette x AIX-en-Provence and Magners The Oystermen x Pol Roger.

Not to mention themed treats from more than 20 surrounding hotspots, including Frenchie and Sushisamba.

Visitors can enjoy a rosé-inspired afternoon tea at Ladurée, more than 40 rose blend teas from Whittard and Mariage Freres and signature rose-shaped ice cream from Gelatorino Amorino.

There will also be a rosé-themed floral installation at Tom Ford and a limited-edition cherry-blossom-pink shake at Shake Shack.

This festival will run from 17 May for three weeks – so will kick off the bank holiday celebrations early.

The start of the event is also timed to mark the return of indoor dining in the capital – so you can toast to it with a lovely glass of pink vino.

If you’re looking for more things to check out in London over the coming weeks, there’s an exhibition that documents what it’s like to be homeless during the pandemic.

There’s also an outdoor show due to land at Walthamstow Wetlands dedicated to Moomins creator Tove Jansson, as well as an exhibition set to explore the history of God’s Own Junkyard.

So plenty to put in the calendar.
