To be a Capricorn is to be a hard worker, and to be a Capricorn is to be ambitious, stoic, and practical. According to Cosmopolitan, Capricorns are loyal, and they often keep their friendship circles tight so as to not overextend themselves. They’re also very aware — not only of themselves and their needs but also of others’ needs — making them reliable, intuitive, and great to have around. Capricorns, like all other signs, do have some negative traits, too, but also like other signs, the positive typically outweighs the negative. And this is important to remember, because Capricorn is a type about which people often get a lot wrong.
“Caps can make sacrifices. They can control their urges. They are rock solid,” Cosmopolitan explained about the sign. And this makes sense. Capricorns can wait for what they want because they’re stubborn. This can apply to something small, like saving up for something, or it can even apply to finding the right person to marry (or avoiding the wrong people).
With all of these traits, Capricorns — think of Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton — can seem like sticklers, like they play by the books and don’t let themselves have too much fun. The question, though, is if this impacts their fashion choices, too.
For Capricorns, a few colors make up their entire wardrobe
When it comes to fashion, Capricorns aren’t necessarily known as divas or style icons. Instead, they keep it practical, often opting for utilitarian attire, though they do love to look knowledgeable and classy at most times. Because of this, their best color palette — and the one they employ the most often — consists of blacks, greys, whites, khaki, and navy blue (via Now Let’s Get Going). These colors compliment and reflect their no-nonsense attitude, and contrary to what you may think, the palette actually allows them to express themselves, even if it may not seem like it with the lack of color diversity.
On the other hand, Capricorns should stay away from neon colors, yellows, and purples, per Now Let’s Get Going. These colors are typically too cheerful for a Capricorn’s natural disposition, and wearing them will only make a Capricorn feel uncomfortable. However, style is personal, and while this is a general guide to zodiac-related fashion, you can ultimately wear whatever you want. In fact, the rest of your zodiac chart could affect your style, too, so being a Capricorn may not be the end all be all of fashion choices. But as a general rule, darker colors are a Capricorn’s best friend, and bright colors may just be their kryptonite.
