FOR most of us, there's been a time when we've reached for the box dye – you know, 'new hair, new me.'
But one hair stylist has taken to TikTok to tell fans never to use the at-home kits.
Steph, known online as @stephagram, regularly shares haircare tips with her 87,000 followers.
In one of her recent videos, the content creator shared what she really thought about various haircare products.

Monat claims to offer premium haircare, skincare and wellness products.
The Florida-based company’s website states that its products are 'naturally based' and vegan.
Although the company is currently facing lawsuits after users claimed their products cause harmful side effects, including scalp irritation and hair loss.

Fans loved the advice, with the video gaining more than 23,000 likes and 906,000 views.
In the comments, Steph's followers thanked her for sharing the tips, with one writing: "Bought a Dyson sent it back. Hair felt like straw."

One agreed with the advice to avoid Monat, writing: "Tried Monat once, NEVER AGAIN!!! My hair fell out like crazy and had a weird texture to it."

Although not all agreed, with one writing: "Monat has changed my hair for the better and so has my Dyson!"
