Celebrity Christmas trees 2021: What your favorite celeb's trees say about them according to an expert

CELEBRITIES are sometimes a bit difficult to relate to due to their financial and social statuses.

However, just like many of their fans, they get super excited about the holiday season.

And while some would expect them to go all out and splurge on luxurious gifts and decorate their homes to the nines, some celebrity Christmas decorations look just like ours.

Here are some of your favorite celebrity’s Christmas trees and what the decor says about them, according to an expert.

2021 was a memorable year for Gwen Stefani, as it is the year she and country crooner Blake Shelton tied the knot in July in an intimate ceremony after nearly six years of dating.

Fans definitely did not see the relationship coming at first, as the pair come from very different backgrounds.

However, they proved time and time again that their differences only brought them closer together.

In fact, in a hilarious clip from NBC’s The Voice that showed Blake introducing Gwen to his country lifestyle, she admitted that she thinks she was born to be a country girl.

“Being with Blake and doing country music has just really changed my life, and I feel like it has brought us closer together,” she explained.

“I think what I love most about the country is the lifestyle.”

It seems Gwen and Blake’s first Christmas tree as a married couple matches their union, according to Veronica Sanders, CEO and lead interior designer of Design with Veronica Sanders.

“The stately Christmas tree is an excellent visual representation of masculine vibes mixed with delicate beauty and light-hearted fun,” she told The Sun.

Kim Kardashian is known for decorating with a minimalist style, which is more or less due to Kanye West’s affinity for simple, clean design.

And even though they are going through a divorce, Kim stuck to that style by placing a large white Christmas tree with fake snow covering its branches in her very modern living room.

She added some color with some warm-toned lights, and Veronica described the tree as one with “regal elegance and glorious demeanor,” which is fitting for the “American Royal Family,” as the Kardashian family has been dubbed.

However, not everyone was into Kim’s simple white decor, as some fans slammed it as “morgue-like.”

Joanna Gaines and company’s Christmas tree is a reminder that the simple farm life is what’s really in their hearts, no matter how popular and successful they become.

“This woodsy, winter tree is very reminiscent of their popular modern rustic design aesthetic,” Veronica said.

Of course, Joanna helped popularize the modern farmhouse design theme while on HGTV’s Fixer Upper.

“It focuses on the cozy, fuzzy feelings we strive for on Christmas day,” Veronica added.

Teen Mom OG star Maci Bookout shared a video of herself putting together her family’s massive Christmas tree for this holiday season and it certainly matches her spunky personality.

“This tree mixed the playfulness of the fun-loving Candyland game with the joy of Christmas, creating an adorable winter wonderland in her living room,” Veronica told The Sun.

However, not all fans took a liking to Maci’s tree, as some of her decorations – like a Bud Light six-pack ornament – were criticized and called “tacky.”

Kendall Jenner gave fans a rare glimpse into her life, which she prefers to keep private, when she showed off her Christmas tree at the beginning of December.

According to design expert Veronica, Kendall stayed true to herself with her holiday decor and even gushed that the model would be her dream client.

“I'm an ultimate design lover of her home and her tree reflects her style,” she noted.

“Just as her home, this tree boasts natural textures and monochromatic lights for a bold statement of simple elegance.”

Drew Barrymore is a fun-loving, cheerful woman, and her Christmas tree is what you would expect from her.

Veronica noted that Drew’s tree, which she described as “abstract” and “whimsical,” gave her “good vibes.”

“You get all the feels of a fun, vibrant Christmas without being over the top,” she added.

Mandy Moore’s Christmas tree is as timeless as her name is in Hollywood.

“Midcentury, minimalism is showing us we don't have to be grand to make a statement,” Veronica told The Sun.

“I'm loving how this tree represents those who prefer a smaller carbon footprint while remaining festive for the holidays.”

Mandy showed off her simple tree on her Instagram Story on December 1, calling it a “cute, little” tree.

The Jonas Brothers have proven time and time again that they’re always down for a good time and don’t take themselves too seriously.

Joe Jonas and wife Sophia Turner certainly exemplified this through their Christmas tree, which is adorned with bright ornament balls and Elmo as the tree topper.

Veronica explained the tree “represents what Christmas is really for: the child-like glee we see from tots opening gifts on Christmas morn.”

“The Elmo replacing the star reminds us of the simpler times when Christmas was more about the joy of giving, love, and affection,” she said.

Brandi Glanville may have admitted she’s on the naughty list this year, but her house is set up to welcome Santa regardless of what he brings her.

“A classic red and green Christmas tree is still popular,” Veronica noted of Brandi’s traditional tree decor.

“This tree evokes memories where you might think about mistletoe or hot cocoa and peppermint bark; a visual feast of all your holiday favorite treats and moments.”

While the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is bold, her Christmas designs are quite traditional.

Britney Spears is free and so is her tree.

Britney has posted several videos of herself in front of her Christmas tree and it’s as cheerful as Christmas gets.

“It's as if the music of the Nutcracker ballet exploded on her gorgeous Christmas tree,” Veronica gushed.

“This tree dances to the beat of its own drum with her playful demeanor and excitement of Christmas spirit.”

Less is usually not more when it comes to Kylie Jenner, so her simple tree, which is basically the green version of sister Kim’s, is surprising.

But Veronica said having such a basic tree is actually what makes it pop.

“This is the perfect way to make your tree stand out,” she explained.

“Showing that sometimes less is more with a minimalistic and elegant look that will never go unnoticed; letting the lights and the tree's grandeur speak for itself.”

Kylie certainly has a lot to celebrate this Christmas, as she is expecting her second child with Travis Scott.

While she has remained fairly silent on social media since the Astroworld Festival tragedy in November, TMZ reported that Kylie hosted a baby shower at her LA mansion in December.
