THE BEAUTY community on social media has been divided after a new trend revealed how to give yourself fake tan lines with some sellotape.

Summer is finally here, which for many means only one thing – the dreaded tan lines ruining your outfits.


But if you're still working on your tan, fear not, as now a viral TikTok beauty hack promises to give you the ultimate tan lines on your chest and shoulders in just seconds.

The trick, which involves using bronzing make-up, as well as a bit of sellotape, has taken the internet by storm – and one of those who gave it a go was Erin Dugan Jurchak.

The beauty fanatic, believed to be from the US, first saw the hack on TikTok.

''If you're a sunscreen queen like me, it's been a long time since you had tan lines,'' Erin explained, adding that ''getting them safely'' was not such a crazy idea.

To achieve this, the beauty fan was wearing a sleeveless top and placed the sellotape from her armpits to her neck.

Next, she demonstrated in her video, Erin grabbed powder blush and bronzed, before applying the products onto the sellotape lines.

Impressed with the outcome, she gave it a little blend with her fingers and said: ''Fake tan lines – there you have it.''

But whilst she may have been obsessed with the results, the reaction amongst social media users was divided.

Numerous mortified TikTok fans flocked to comments, where many were in disbelief.

''I'm confused, why???'' someone else wanted to know.
