Israeli-Moroccan designer Yossi Shetrit has a storied history in the fashion industry. Having graduated from New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology, co-founded Italian footwear label Lavati, and streetwear brand Adolescents, Shetrit embarks on a new journey by launching his eponymous label, YOSSI HOMME.
YOSSI HOMME keeps youthful tailoring at the forefront, debuting its striking design ethos across its first capsule collection, “Post-American Youthism.” The range is inspired by progressive viewpoints that stray from tradition, holding a looking glass against past and present American youth culture.
YOSSI HOMME travels to 1990s NYC through a rebellious offering that is equally disruptive and subdued. Tumbled leather vests worn by spirited rock bands receive chained accessories paired with shredded carpenter shorts, while gothic subcultures are displayed in sleeveless blazers and slouchy trousers adorned with edgy illustrations. Pinned bomber jackets and dual-zip hoodies stand next to stained tees, distressed flannel bottoms, and dominant leather-strapped outerwear that complete the collection.
