FKA twigs is the latest artist to take over NPR’s popular Tiny Desk (Home) Concert series.
For her concert, the Cheltenham-born artist delivered an enchanting performance surrounded by dripping candles in a picturesque church. The three-track performance included “Home With You” and the hit “Cellophane” from her 2019 album MAGDALENE, in addition to a new song “Killer.” Described as a song for “the baddies with a tear in their eye,” FKA twigs previously teased “Killer,” which is set to release on Thursday, June 16.
A practitioner of art, FKA twigs was accompanied by cellist Lucinda Chua, pianist Kelly Moran and double bassist Damsel Elysium for a grippingly poignant concert. Additionally, the performance is a part of NPR’s latest Tiny Desk Concert series in celebration of Black Music Month and Juneteenth.
