Looking back at last year, Jordan Brand made one thing clear: 2022 was the year of the Air Jordan 2. From collaborations with artists and brands from around the world to revisiting classic colorways, the AJ2 stood out as a preferred silhouette for the Jumpman team. With 2023 rapidly approaching its midpoint, the division has shown no signs of slowing down — especially with the Air Jordan 2 Low. The old school sneaker has made noise throughout the year with fresh takes such as the “Seersucker” pair joined by throwback looks like the “UNC” colorway.
Now, the low-top design takes on “Varsity Royal” accents on a white leather upper. This blue hue is visible at the laces, linework, heel and a portion of the rubber outsole. Elsewhere, black offers contrast at the lining and midsole with an off-white shade adorning the outsole. The resulting color arrangement is comparable to the sought-after fragment design x Air Jordan 1s, balancing the four colors in a familiar fashion.
Nike has yet to divulge its release plans for the Air Jordan 2 Low “Varsity Royal,” however, it’s expected to touch down on shelves July 6 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $150 USD.
