As part of the Californian brand’s springtime stylings, Vans is remixing a trio of its signature sneaker silhouettes with the colorful “Meadow Patchwork” pack. Blending disparate checks, plaids, paisleys, floral patterns and more, the Sk8-Lo, Era and Slip-On all sport mismatched prints, rendered in pale sunny shades.
All three makeups juxtapose contrasting printed panels atop the canvas uppers, drawing from warm weather flowers and picnic tables alike with a variety of light golden hues. Not unlike the recent “Bandanna” pack kicks, all three of these staple skate shoes are realized in light yellow and brown, contrasted with the occasional bit of stark black for gentle visual appeal.
Accompanying the plaids and paisleys is a tonal leather Jazz Stripe on the Sk8-Lo, matching laces and white soles for each of the sneakers, keeping the light, breezy vibes intact. There are also subtle differences between the models, like aforementioned leather accent, the black trim on the Slip-On and gold eyelets on the laced sneakers.
The first two styles in the “Meadow Patchwork” pack are available at Vans’ website and stores.
Most recently, Vans paid homage to The Beautiful Game with a three-piece tennis pack in partnership with Penn.
