Basketball is deeply-rooted in the culture of the Philippines, and if there are any retailers in the country that continue to provide fans with the best hoops-related products and stories, it’s TITAN. The Manila-based brand and retailer has gradually grown its collaborative footwear catalog by teaming with the likes of Nike and Jordan Brand, and it’s set to expand upon this initiative with an Air Jordan 2 Low collaboration.
Much like other brands who have lent their creative touch to the classic Jumpman silhouette this year, TITAN has elected to reimagine the retro offering’s various materials. Sultry suede materials now get brought onto the collars and tongues while the forefoot panels and toe boxes have been built with premium tumbled leather. “Chlorophyll Green” accents are infused into the textured overlays that surround the toes as well as the mid-foot piping and heel counters. Sitting adjacent to this are bursts of “Safety Orange” hits that flood the interior liners and ball-and-wings logos as well as black speckles that cover the midsole pieces. Furthermore, the inside of the tongues come graced with fruity icons to further expand upon its tropical motif.
No release info has been revealed just yet, but it’s likely that TITAN will be dropping these later this year.
For other news, Jayson Tatum’s “Taco Jay” Colorway has landed on the Air Jordan 36.
