The Wolverine and Deadpool crossover has officially been sealed with confirmation as Ryan Reynolds to share the first look at Hugh Jackman as the titular character in Deadpool 3.
With the third installment currently in production, Hugh Jackman promised fans that his return as Wolverine for the Deadpool film would not impede on the timeline of Logan. With the new image revealed on Reynolds’ Instagram, it appears that he is staying true to his promise. The first look at the duo in Deadpool 3 sees Jackman and his co-star Reynolds in their respective superhero outfits. The Wolverine outfit appears to be different from the costumes he has worn in previous films, making it a never-before-seen suit on the big screen. Wolverine, however, is still dressed in classic yellow and blue costume from the comic books.
The film is helmed by Shawn Levy, who also directed Reynolds in Free Guy and The Adam Project. As Deadpool joins the MCU for the first time, the film sees Jackman and Reynolds accompanied by returning cast members like Morena Baccarin and Brianna Hildebrand, plus newcomers Emma Corrin and Matthew MacFadyen. Deadpool 3 is set to open in theaters on May 3, 2024.
In other entertainment news, Warner Bros. has canceled The Powerpuff Girls.
