JJJJound is known for working with a diverse collection of footwear brands for collaborative projects such as New Balance, Salomon, ASICS and Vans. The latter was one of the first labels to join forces with the Montreal-based designed imprint, and now they’re reuniting for a fresh Vans Sk8-Mid VLT LX team-up. This new iteration will serve as a follow-up to the duo’s Vans Sk8-Mid VLT LX capsule from 2021.
Much like the rest of the footwear collaborations that JJJJound has rolled out in recent years, this latest installment is done up with a minimal presentation. From a bird’s eye view, these might look like a pair of normal “damn Daniel” Vans, but the first teaser image of the kicks shows off the canvas uppers and laces that are both done up with a crispy white hue while jazz stripes and overlays that style up the toe boxes and sit adjacent to the throat is covered in a soft gray hue. Downstairs, the kicks continue their neutral-toned motif as the midsoles and bottoms are treated with an off-white paint job. If these follow the same cadence as its collection from 2021, there could be a banner on the heels that comes printed with JJJJound‘s moniker, but you’ll just have to wait for more images to emerge.
Expect these to launch sometime during the Summer ‘23 season.
In other news, Palace and Vans have reconvened for a new Palace Vans Low collaboration.
