Graphpaper Unveils David Hockney-Inspired SS22 "COLORS" Lookbook

Tokyo-based label Graphpaper has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2022 lookbook titled “COLORS.” Continuing the brand’s penchant for art themes, the collection draws inspiration from one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century — David Hockney.

Based on Hockney’s iconic double portraits of friends, lovers, and relatives, the lookbook sees two models with an apparent age gap side by side. In particular, the younger and older male model may be reminiscent of the artist’s close companion Gregory Evans.

True to its name, the new collection uses bright colors evocative of Hockney’s artworks. From cardigans and jumpers, blazers and dress pants, to sweatshirts and windbreakers, the range consists of essentials with simple designs and relaxed fits, proving the collection fitting for everyday wear.
