Throughout his time on Earth, Steven Smith has designed many a compelling footwear silhouette, and one that has will forever hold a special place in history is the for its sleek look and unique technology is the Reebok Instapump Fury. The model has seen plenty of action throughout the course of 2021 thus far, and now it’s delving into the world of Japanese Edo-Kiriko — a traditional form of glass cutting — for its latest act.
The base of this lifestyle installment is manufactured with panels of black mesh that are visible through the toe boxes, mid-foot and heels. Overlays which are start at the collars and cover the bladder are draped in Edo-Kiriko patterns which split between “Golden Bronze” hexagons and stark black triangles. The Reebok branding that is embroidered onto the lower throat and heels, as well as the “Japan Reebok” hang tags all follow suit with the same golden accents. Segmented midsoles underneath are dialed to a clean white and come connected to black outsoles.
