Toei Animation‘s immensely popular series Dragon Ball Super is loved by many in the anime world, and now those fans have the chance to wear their favorite characters on their feet thanks to the action cartoon’s upcoming FILA collaboration.
The collaboration references fan-favorites including Goku, Goku Black, Vegeta, Golden Frieza, Trunks, Beerus, and Super Shenron, with each of these seven characters getting their own respective FILA sneaker. Taking on the Renno, Original Fitness, and the F-13 across both kid’s and men’s sizing, the collaboration sees the character’s signature styles and colors adorn each pair, with all coming with at least its tongue, heel, and sock liner sporting a character-themed design.
Goku’s trademark look in the orange and blue hues appear all over the FILA Renno, while his Super Saiyan-form hair in yellow has been referenced on the laces and the sneaker’s overlays toward the collar. The character’s Black form also decorates a Renno, this time around serving the pair in dark gray and red as per his uniform, while touches of green nod to his Potara earring, silver references the time ring, and purple is inspired by his violence.
Aside from Goku, we find another Renno designed in honor of Vegeta. Hits of blue, white and metallic gold appear in the inspiration of the character’s boots and armor, while the bright blue touches are another reference to the character’s style, particularly their hair. The last Renno hit comes in conjunction with Super Shenron, which takes the dragon’s palette of red, orange, and yellow and applies the bright hues to the shoe’s suede, mesh, and nylon uppers.
Moving on from this silhouette, we find two takes on the Orginal Fitness with nods to Beerus and Golden Frieza, and lastly, a Trunks-inspired F-13. The entire Dragon Ball Super x FILA collection can be seen above and is due to release in the U.S. and Canada at Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, Champs Sports, and Footaction from December 21, with prices ranging from $65 USD to $100 USD.
