Demi Moore entering her 'hot kooky unhinged grandma era' amid Rumer's pregnancy

Rumer Willis has announced she’s having a baby and her mum Demi Moore, for one, is over the moon.

In fact, she’s excited to be entering her ‘hot kooky unhinged grandma era’.

Rumer – whose dad is Demi’s former husband Bruce Willis – confirmed the news on her social media, alongside boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas, in a series of sweet snapshots of her growing bump.

In one, the 34-year-old singer and actress was seen on Tuesday showing off her bump which Derek wrapped his hand around and gave a kiss to.

Another photo saw Rumer showing off her new profile as she stood in the background of a shot, while the third saw Derek looking mighty thrilled for their impending arrival.

The celebrations continued in the comments section, with Rumer’s sister Scout LaRue Willis writing: ‘I feel so good, What a joyful hard launch party,’ and other sister Tallulah writing: ‘EEEEEEEE!!!! we stan this mommy!!’

Brittany Snow commented: ‘Congrats beauty!! ❤️❤️😍,’ as Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul mused: ‘ I’m so happy for you my friend. Such beautiful news. Congrats!!!❤️❤️❤️.’

Rumer’s baby marks the first grandchild for Bruce and Demi, who have remained close following their split in 2000 and share three daughters, Rumer, Tallulah, 28, and Scout, 31. Bruce also has daughters Mabel, 10, and Evelyn, eight, with wife Emma Heming Willis.

Sharing her reaction to the news, Demi wrote she was ‘Entering my hot kooky unhinged grandma era’.

Gotta say, we’re here for it, as was Gwyneth Paltrow who commented: ‘I’m into this phase for you.’

Bruce’s wife Emma also shared the news, writing: ‘Baby news is happy news!!! Congratulations @rumerwillis and @derekrichardthomas We are elated over here!’

The family is a tight one and has rallied around Die Hard icon Bruce following his diagnosis with aphasia.

The star had announced he was retiring from acting in March after being diagnosed with the condition, which affects the ability to speak and understand language.

His daughter Rumer broke the news on Instagram, alongside a photo of the actor, telling fans: ‘To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities.

‘As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.’

She added that it had been ‘a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support’.

‘We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him. As Bruce always says, “Live it up” and together we plan to do just that,’ Rumer wrote.

Bruce didn’t reveal the cause of his aphasia, which can be caused by different things including a stroke, head injury, brain tumour or progressive neurological conditions including dementia.
