Charaf Tajer's Casablanca Names Frederick Lukoff Its Chief Executive

Charaf Tajer‘s Casablanca has named Frederick Lukoff as the brand’s new Chief Executive. The news comes after rounds of significant growth investments, working with a group of strategic advisers to help build the company and increase international exposure.

Lukoff was formerly the Chief Executive of Stella McCartney, and has also held top-level positions at Courrèges, Paco Rabanne and Lanvin. With Lukoff in tow, Casablanca also aims to open its first flagship boutique in Paris, while expanding product lines — as it has done with accessories and footwear — investing in the supply chain, and developing its digital strategy.

Speaking on the appointment, Lukoff said: “I am delighted to be joining Charaf and his team to help accelerate the already incredible rise of Casablanca within luxury fashion. The brand universe that Charaf has created for Casablanca is highly compelling, impressive by its breadth and depth, and I absolutely love its positivity. This creates so many opportunities for the future and I look forward to working with Charaf and his talented team and to have a fantastic journey together as we move forward with the brand.”

Tajer added: “I am extremely honored by the fact that I have this opportunity not only for myself, but also my team, to be able to work with someone who has such a wealth of knowledge in this industry. Frederick has worked with legends who I have always looked up to, namely André Courrèges and Alber Elbaz. A new era for the brand is on the horizon, and it’s time for Casablanca to take the next step.”
