On the heels of her Oscar nomination for her performance in the indie “Junebug,” Amy Adams won over audiences as Giselle, an endearingly romantic and always optimistic Andalasia resident who’s banished to New York City by Prince Edward’s evil stepmother in “Enchanted.”

Amy Adams left Andalasia and never looked back! After showcasing her stellar leading lady abilities in “Enchanted,” she starred in acclaimed films like “Doubt,” “The Fighter,” “The Master,” “American Hustle” and “Vice” — earning five more Oscar nominations — as well as popcorn flicks like “Arrival” and “Justice League.” She also earned Emmy nominations for her work producing and acting in the 2018 limited series “Sharp Objects.” In 2010, Amy welcomed daughter Aviana with actor-painter Darren Le Gallo, whom she wed in 2015.

“Grey’s Anatomy” star Patrick Dempsey took on the role of Robert Philip, a cynical divorce attorney who’s been hardened by his failed marriage.

While he hasn’t quite eclipsed his fame as heartthrob neurosurgeon McDreamy on “Grey’s Anatomy,” Patrick Dempsey has continued to grace our screens in high-profile projects. Shortly after falling for Giselle in “Enchanted,” he starred in “Made of Honor” followed by “Valentine’s Day.” He then appeared in “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” and “Bridget Jones’s Baby” before taking on a starring role in the Italian financial-thriller series “Devils” in 2020. Patrick, who shares three children with wife Jillian Fink, is also an accomplished race car driver. He’s previously competed in prestigious events including the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Rolex 24 at Daytona races and is the owner of Dempsey Racing.

James Marsden hilariously brought Prince Edward to life. The kindhearted but simple-minded royal goes to New York City in hopes of rescuing Giselle.

James Marsden’s charming portrayal of Prince Edward in “Enchanted” made it clear he was a great leading man. The Oklahoma native next enjoyed leading roles in rom-coms like “27 Dresses” and “The Best of Me” and later appeared in films including “The Butler,” “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues” and “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” In 2020, he brought villain Tom Wachowski to life in “Sonic the Hedgehog,” a role he reprised in the 2022 sequel. He’s also delivered some great performances in TV projects like “30 Rock,” “The Stand,” “Westworld” and “Dead to Me.” James and wife Lisa Linde split in 2011 after more than a decade of marriage and two kids together. In 2012, he welcomed a son with model Rose Costa after a brief romance. James has been in a relationship with British singer-songwriter Emma Deigman, better known as Edei, since 2015.

Susan Sarandon artfully portrayed villainess Queen Narissa, Prince Edward’s evil stepmother whose hatred for Giselle is driven by the belief that she poses a threat to her power.

_

Susan Sarandon, who’s enjoyed one of the most enduring careers in Hollywood, went on to star in “The Lovely Bones,” “Cloud Atlas,” “Tammy” and “A Bad Moms Christmas” before originating the role of fictional country icon Dottie Cantrell Roman on the FOX musical-drama series “Monarch” in 2022. In 2009 — two years after “Enchanted” came out — Susan and longtime partner Tim Robbins split after more than 20 years and two sons together. In 2014, Susan became a grandmother for the first time when daughter Eva Amurri, an actress, welcomed her first child.

Timothy Spall took on the role of Nathaniel, Queen Narissa’s servant who is secretly infatuated with her.

_

How has Timothy Spall fared all these years later? Pretty well, it seems! The London native — who continued to play Peter Pettigrew in the “Harry Potter” films — also delivered acclaimed performances in movies like “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” “The King’s Speech,” “Denial,” “The Party” and, more recently, the Princess Diana movie “Spencer.” He and wife Shane Spall, an author with whom he has three children — including actor Rafe Spall — have been married for decades.

Idina Menzel played Nancy Tremaine, Robert’s fashion designer girlfriend.

_

Broadway musical star Idina Menzel successfully transitioned to Hollywood. After her non-singing role in “Enchanted,” Idina nabbed a recurring role on “Glee” from 2010 to 2013 that saw her show off her vocal chops. Her profile exploded in 2013 when she voiced Elsa in Disney’s animated hit “Frozen.” The success of her signature song from the film, the Oscar- and Grammy-winning “Let it Go,” made Idina the first Tony-winning actress to have a top 10 song on the Billboard Hot 100. After lending her voice to more “Frozen” projects, in 2019, she starred opposite Adam Sandler in the Safdie brothers’ “Uncut Gems.” Idina and first husband Taye Diggs welcomed a son in 2009 and split in 2013. She married actor Aaron Lohr in 2017.
