BEDWIN & THE HEARTBREAKERS love of ’50s flair is still in focus for the Japanese brand’s Spring/Summer 2021 offering, refined and filtered through a contemporary streetwear lens. Elements of tailoring and prep remain from BEDWIN’s early work, but its latest collection is rife with bold graphics and proportion play, demonstrating founder Masafumi “Bebe” Watanabe’s always-evolving taste.
Ranging from versatile graphic T-shirts and hoodies to boiler suits, pajama-like sets and paneled noragi shirts, there’s a lot happening in BEDWIN’s SS21 lineup. As usual, playful animal prints and casual tailoring is back in stock, complemented by a selection of effortless transitional season essentials like coaches jackets, cropped pants and tiny daypacks crafted by Outdoor Products. A set of bombers laden with illustrations of bondage toys lends the affair a whisper of seediness, mirrored in the moody, seasonal editorial shot inside a velvet-trimmed bar.
Look for Spring/Summer 2021 to arrive on BEDWIN & THE HEARTBREAKERS’ web store and stockists in the coming weeks.
