The Internet has just Rickrolled us all. YouTube user Revideo recently remastered Rick Astley‘s “Never Gonna Give You Up” music in crisp 4K 60fps. In the early prevalent days of the Internet, the visual for Astley’s breakout track from 1987 was used as an ongoing meme prank that involved a bait and switch set up.
The HDR UHD update of the music video was created using Topaz Video Enhance, an AI video upscaling program, to bring the dated source material into 4K quality. While RIFE (Flowframes) was used to smooth out the flow of the video with 60 frames per second.
