Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice and Rose Ayling-Ellis beam days after scoring perfect 40 on show

Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice and his dance partner Rose Ayling-Ellis beamed after filming It Takes Two’s on Monday night.

The elegant pair looked stylish and were all smiles as they posed for photos after recording the Strictly spin-off show.

Giovanni, the Strictly professional, wore a three-piece, sand coloured suit for the occasion, which he paired with a white shirt and a pop of colour in a purple patterned tie.

Meanwhile, EastEnders actress, Rose stunned in a black, elegant dress that ruched to one side.

The 26 year old opted for minimal make up with a light pink glow in her eyeshadow and lip gloss, as she let her hair natural flow over her shoulders.

The dapper couple are still riding high from making Strictly history on Saturday night as they received the earliest perfect score of 40 in the series history.

The pair performed a dramatic tango to Ed Sheeran’s new songs, Shivers, and were left star-struck when they had a surprise message of support from the global phenomenon.

As the scores were read out, the duo screamed as Rose jumped gleefully in the air. Giovanni became overwhelmed with emotion and covered his face as he began to cry.

Commenting on their performance, head judge Shirley Ballis said: “You are absolutely brilliant.

"But one of the best parts of that whole tango is how you keep your body closed and open your head to the right."

Fellow judge Motsi Mabuse added: "Rose, you know I've been sitting and judging for 14 years, and I've seen a couple of numbers, but this one will remain epic.

"This was absolutely one amazing dance from the beginning. Your acting skills, the way you two dance together. The technique in that dance, I mean this was out of this world."

Rose is also the first deaf contestant to be on the show and she explained to It Takes Two viewers how she is able to “feel the music” through her partner, Giovanni.

Host Rylan Clark-Neal quizzed Rose about learning the perfect-scoring tango and asked if it had been a challenge as the couple predominantly have to dance facing away from each other.

Looking at Giovanni, Rose responded: "I think when I am with you, and against your body, I can feel the music though you. I trust him. So that really helps I think."

The proud dance partners also joked that getting a 10 from Craig Revel Horwood’s will be “going on the CV.”
