Oti Mabuse shares message of body positivity in blue dress
Oti Mabuse has opened up about body positivity and has slammed those who negatively comment on mothers’ changing physiques.
Last month, the two-time Glitterball Trophy winner announced that she and her husband Marius Iepure, 37, were expecting their first child together.
However, it seems as if Oti, 33, has recently been the subject of criticism as she has taken to social media to air her frustrations.
In a video shared with her 671,000 Instagram followers, the former BBC professional dancer – real name Otlile Mabuse – could be seen admiring herself in the mirror while wearing a baby blue, bodycon dress.
Featuring a midi hemline, ruched detailing and a flattering one-shoulder design, Oti showed off the front and side of the frock before proudly running her hands over her pregnancy bump.

In the social media caption, the ex-Strictly Come Dancing star got candid on how her body has changed during pregnancy before reminding other mothers-to-be that they are “beautiful”.
Opening up on the topic of body positivity she said: “It’s people usually over 30 years old stating the obvious.
“‘Your boobs are big’, yes they’re boobs and they will feed my baby. ‘Your bum is big’, yes it’s a bum. ‘Your stomach is not flat’, yes there’s a human being inside there and you also having to say, ‘Yes! We all come in different shapes and sizes and I love the way my body is preparing to home my baby’.

“If you find yourself making a comment about anyone’s body part (pregnant or not) remind yourself that the whole world doesn’t JUST look like your household, your community or what you’ve seen … the WHOLE WORLD is filled with different women simply trying to get out of bed carry on with their day instead of vomiting in the toilet and crying with a McFlurry AND FRIES in their hands…”
She rounded off her empowering statement by saying: “To women who might have not embraced those gorgeous curves yet! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! YOU ARE GROWING! YOUR BODY IS PERFECT.”
Since posting the clip on Tuesday (26 September) fans of The Masked Dancer star have come out in their droves to praise the mum-to-be.
“Don’t worry about any of this, enjoy the experience, you are going to have one of the most beautiful few months of your life, enjoy the ride it’s so special,” wrote one fan.
A second said: “The super mommy to be… You are the most beautiful!”
Another commented: “YES!!!!!!! Say it louder for people in the back. Go queen!!”
“Girl you’re incredible and honestly you’re giving BODYYYYYY,” wrote another enthusiastic fan.
Oti’s sentiment appeared to resonate with a fifth commenter, who took to the comments section to write: “Stunning I’m 24 weeks and people always comment on my body my bump and make comments when I’m eating.
“Not something you want when pregnant and emotional. I’m proud of my body and so glad I finally have my baby growing in me. Love what you have wrote.”
