Piers Morgan, 57, has reacted to Nick Kyrgios’ furious rant over spectators and line officials in the Wimbledon 2022 match. The former Good Morning Britain presenter took to Twitter to voice his opinion on the 27-year-old’s demeanour during the clash.

In view of his 7.9 million followers, Piers shared a video that shows Nick saying: “I don’t start clapping when they’re scanning s*** at a supermarket do I?”

Along with the clip, Piers simply wrote: “Kyrgios is such a d***.”

Nick sparked backlash after complaining to umpire Marija Cicak over the crowd at the match earlier today.

He said: “You have to tell them. They’re spectators.

“They don’t have any right to do that. They’re spectators who spend money to come watch us play. They should be removed.

“I don’t go up to their face in their 9-5 and start clapping when they’re scanning s*** at a supermarket.

“They have no right to do that so why does it keep happening?”

Nick went on to complain about “racial slurs” as he questioned why spectators were not penalised for their actions.

He added: “You should just remove them from the crowd.

“So pure disrespect from a spectator to an athlete is acceptable at Wimbledon?

“But you don’t accept a hat with two logos? When’s the line?

“That’s acceptable, racism is acceptable so when does it stop? So where’s the line?

“It’s been happening for years. If they were making racial slurs to him [Jubb] I would say the same thing.”

Piers was not the only social media user to condemn Nick’s remarks, with Channel 5 presenter Dan Walker also logging into the platform to voice his opinion.

He said: “Strange to watch someone with so much talent who doesn’t seem to enjoy what they do.

“Maybe he does but just has a funny way of showing it.”

Another viewer said Nick’s antics were “excusable and somewhat entertaining” when the sportsman was a teenager but labelled the actions “embarrassing” now he is in his twenties.

Nick was also branded an “obnoxious bully” for taking aim at the line judge.

“What a horrid thing to say about someone just doing their job,” said another Twitter user.

“I hope he apologies (sic) to her.”
