Janette Manrara, 37, has today addressed a follower on Twitter after they labelled her and husband Aljaz Skorjanec, 31, as being “soulmates”. The Strictly Come Dancing professional admitted she is “missing” the Slovenian born dancer, as he returned to work last week on his upcoming show Here Come The Boys.

A fan of the couple had created a touching video tribute to them, which included a number of sentimental clips of them from over the years to a song that described “soulmates”.

Next to the clip, they typed: “What a soulmate @JManrara @AljazSkorjanec.”

The montage caught the eye of Janette, who could not resist responding to the supportive fan.

She replied: “I miss him at home with me, but so happy he is dancing.

“Cannot wait to squeeze him when he gets home.

“Hope you’re all having a lovely week thus far.”

Janette had previously shared a bittersweet update with fans on Sunday as she revealed that her husband Aljaz had begun rehearsals for his Here Come The Boys dance tour.

Sharing a photo of the pair before they became a couple, the dancer wrote on Instagram: “This was the first picture @aljazskorjanec and I ever took together! 2010!

“We were just friends then. Little did I know…”

She added that their London home was feeling a lonely without him, saying: “He starts rehearsals today for @herestheboys so our home feels a little bit empty.

“Cannot WAIT to watch him & the whole cast on stage!

“But for today, reminiscing these beautiful memories is making me smile.”

The post prompted comments of support from fans as they praised their relationship.

One said: “You really make the most gorgeous couple, you both radiate happiness and love.”

While another replied: “You haven’t aged at all! Beautiful pic.”

A third said: “Love you guys on Strictly.”

Aljaz and fellow Strictly dancer Janette were forced to live separately during the competition last year, to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Speaking about the possible return of a live audience when the show kicks off in September, Aljaz said: “It’s massively important.

“First of all, I have to say that for last season to even go ahead with Strictly, it was such a privilege for us and for people at home who got that fix of positivity every Saturday.

“Not having an audience there was heartbreaking in a way, but on the other hand it’s such a small sacrifice in order to still put the show on,” he added to The Mirror.
