Katie Waissel, 35, took to Instagram today to share an update on her health with her 26,600 followers. The former X Factor star also thanked all of her fans for their support during the traumatic time.
In an emotional post, Katie explained that she was “overwhelmed” by the love she had received from her followers during her ordeal.
She wrote: “I am truly overwhelmed by the outpour of love, well wishes and support from you all and can’t thank you enough.
“Wednesday was indeed a scary day. I’m pleased to let you know that I am home and taking it easy.
“It’s important to ask that as we investigate what happened and why medically, kindly try not to speculate or be afraid. I will provide more information later.

Some fans rushed to send her messages of support in the comment section.
Instagram user @thementalityproject_ wrote: “Glad to hear you’re home and hope you don’t have to wait too long for a resolution. So important we listen to our body, be gentle with yourself.”
“You got this. Wishing and willing you well,” added user @lady_fraserofglencoe.
However, Katie was also forced to enter the comments section herself to end speculation from some fans who wanted her to address whether she had been double vaccinated.
The singer wrote: “Having to address this in itself is just mind blowing but can everyone stop falsely accusing me of spouting absurd accusations on people whom have chose not to vaccinate.
“There is a fake twitter account that I have been trying to get removed for over a decade. This account says the most vile things and in all honesty it is atrocious that Twitter have done nothing about it.
“That being said, to now be receiving abuse on something that have neither said nor feel, especially during my time of healing and recovery, is devastating.

Katie was taken to Watford General Hospital in an ambulance on Wednesday after showing some worrying symptoms.
The singer said that despite being warned of long wait times, there was a medical team at the door of her North London home “within minutes”.
Earlier this week the star shared a candid photo from her hospital bed on her Instagram, thanking the hospital staff for being there for her when she needed it most.
She wrote: “Let me tell you, I was taken by ambulance yesterday for a suspected heart attack and @nhs @ldn_ambulance Watford general AND the ambulance services were/are amazing.
“I was initially told there was a wait by the ambulance call centre, but an ambulance was at my door within minutes.
“The entire team at Watford were/are beyond impeccable, and I am so grateful for your continued help!”
She added: “So with this, if you’re experiencing a life-threatening emergency, do not hesitate to call 999, they WILL come for you!!!”
