Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid, 51, said goodbye to Andrew Marr on Twitter today following his decision to part from the BBC. Andrew, who has hosted his own show on the BBC for 16 years, will be moving on to LBC and Classic FM in the New Year.
Taking to Twitter, Susanna shared a video from BBC Politics with her 842,900 followers.
The video was a highlight reel of the Andrew Marr Show and was captioned: “It’s Andrew Marr’s final programme on the BBC.
“Here’s a look back at the last 16 years of Sunday mornings.”
The clips included interviews with a number of high-profile political figures, including Barack Obama, Tony Blair, David Cameron, Theresa May and Boris Johnson.
Susanna was formerly co-presenter of BBC Breakfast from 2003 until 2014 alongside Bill Turnbull and Charlie Stayt, which means that Andrew would have been her colleague for many years.
Above the video, Susanna wrote: “You set the standard for political interviewing
@AndrewMarr9 and you set the agenda for the week ahead.
“Always love working with you, and being a guest on the programme.
“Going to miss you on Sundays, but looking forward to your new projects.”
Some of Susanna’s followers were quick to echo her sentiments in the comments below.
“Well said I absolutely totally agree with you lovely Susanna Reid x,” wrote George Singh.
“Sunday mornings just won’t be the same,” added Sylvia Berry.

However, other Twitter users did not agree that Andrew had set a high standard for journalism.
Rob Clark commented: “Not so sure, constantly trying to trip up the interviewee with loaded questions, doesn’t want to listen to the answer and if he doesn’t like it, he interrupts and talks over them.
“Massive myth he’s a good interviewer. Nice guy, battled back admirably from his stroke, but time to go.” (sic)
“The pair of you win gold medals for talking over anyone who doesn’t say what you want to hear,” added AnthonyLD.
Since 2014, Susanna has been the lead presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain alongside Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway.
The journalist used to present regularly with Piers Morgan, but he left the show in dramatic fashion earlier this year.
On March 9, 2021 Piers explosively stormed off the set after he was slated by co-star Alex Beresford for his comments towards Meghan Markle.
Piers claimed that Meghan had unfairly criticised the Royal Family during her interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Susanna, Ben and Kate have since remained as lead anchors on the show.
