Another fan-favorite CW series has just been canceled!
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow showrunner Keto Shimizu shared the sad news that the series has not been renewed for an eighth season.
The show would have been the second longest-running DC show on the network, tying with Arrow, and following right behind The Flash, which will return for a ninth season. This means it was the third longest running, with it’s seven seasons.

“Well, folks. It’s been an incredible run. However, the CW has let us know that there will be no season 8 of #LegendsOfTomorrow. We are heartbroken, but also immensely grateful for the amazing work our cast, crew, and writers have contributed to the little show that could,” Keto shared on Twitter.
“Thank you to our fans; your love and passion for our strange band of misfits has made every break, every script, every daily, every cut, and every mix worth all the hard work. We see you, we love you, and you’ll always have a place on the Waverider. ❤️” she added.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow starred Caity Lotz, Nick Zano, Tala Ashe, Jes Macallan, Matt Ryan, Adam Tsekhman, Olivia Swann, Shayan Sobhian, Lisseth Chavez and Amy Pemberton.
The season seven, and now series finale, aired just a few weeks ago, and Nick Zano had announced he would not return to the show.
Just hours before this cancelation, another DC show at The CW was announced to be canceled.
These cancelations make time in the schedule for new shows that are in the works, like Walker: Independence, Gotham Knights and The Winchesters.
