A new video for “Steal My Love,” shows the Dan + Shay duo Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney staging a heist to outwit some would-be bank robbers and protecting something priceless.
In the visual, Smyers is seen descending from a cable into a guarded room with the help of Mooney to pick up a briefcase and escaping from the place. They are then seen being chased by bandits clad in black ski masks. Finally, the duo and the chasers are all seen dancing along merrily.
The song features a smooth groove reminiscent of ’90s teen pop, stacked with harmonies and Mooney’s versatile vocals.
Dan + Shay first premiered the “Steal My Love” video exclusively on Facebook. Smyers co-wrote the song with Andy Albert, Ashley Gorley and Jordan Reynolds. The Patrick Tracy-directed visual was shot in the Tennessee town of Springfield.
“Steal My Love” is from the duo’s fourth studio album Good Things, which arrived on Friday and became the first country album of the streaming era to earn RIAA gold status on the day of its release.
