Alex Scott showcased her incredible physique as the sports pundit soaked up the sunshine on the island of Joali, also known as the “island of joy”, in the Maldives. The BBC broadcaster is currently taking a break from her television roles after she previously admitted she needed to “completely switch off”.
The 37-year-old has enjoyed an incredible year on television, taking on new roles and also fronting her own game show.
Alex has been enjoying some much-needed downtime after a busy year.
The presenter has been keeping her fans updated during her holiday getaway after posting a series of bikini snaps.
Taking to her Instagram stories today, the Football Focus host shared a gorgeous snap wearing a two-piece bikini.
The former Arsenal star flaunted her taut abs in the sizzling photo as she posed in her suite.
The on-screen star took a selfie and shared that her mum emphasised she had her “glow back”.
Alex opted to go natural for the photo sporting no makeup while wearing her long tresses in braids.
In view of her 854,000 followers, she captioned the post: “My mum just FT [Facetimed] and said I’ve got my glow back.
“My reply is because I’m on the ‘island of joy.’ That’s the meaning behind the name of the island by the way.”
Alex added: “I’ve not just made that up.”
It comes after the BBC star revealed that she was taking some away from the TV.
Earlier this month, the presenter replied to a fan who urged her to enjoy her break during the festive period.

User @lebigfella had reached out to the presenter on Twitter on December 14.
They wrote: “Hey Alex… sincerely wish you all the best and can’t wait for you to be back on our screens as soon as possible.
“Have a great break from it all [and] a superb Christmas.”
In view of her 367,000 followers, Alex replied about her plans.
She wrote: “Football focus [and] #SPOTY at the weekend first…then time for some R&R and complete switch off.”
This comes after the star previously opened up about feeling “guilt” over turning a career opportunity down.
She penned earlier the same day: “At the time..what felt like a ‘huge’ decision to say I can’t do it (work-wise) and spend time with my mum instead…
“Days of carrying guilt/thinking I had let people down were wiped away seeing how happy she was to see me [and] actually… (sic)
“I think it’s me that needed today more than ever.” (sic)
