90210’s Brian Austin Green engaged to girlfriend a year after having first child

Brian Austin Green, known for playing David Silver in the hit TV series Beverly Hills: 90210, is engaged!

The 50-year-old actor has officially put a ring on it with Sharna Burgess, 38, a pro dancer for Dancing with the Stars after nearly three years of dating.

The pair revealed the very special news on an episode of their podcast, ‘Old-ish’ which aired on Friday, 22 September alongside an Instagram video.

The clip which was named ‘Our latest chapter’ started off with a close-up of Brian’s hand, followed by his children’s hands and finally Sharna’s featuring a huge, glittering diamond ring.

Brian and Sharna welcomed their first child, Zane Walker in June 2022. But Brian also has a son Kassius Lijah with ex-girlfriend Vanessa Macil. And he shares his sons, Noah Shannon, Bodhi Ransomand Journey River with actress Megan Fox.

While they’ve only just opened up about their engagement, the couple have revealed that Brian popped the question in July this year during his surprise 50th birthday party.

On their new podcast with co-host Randy Spelling, Sharna said: “We've been engaged for two months. Brian proposed to me.”

In regards to asking Sharna to marry him during his birthday celebrations, Brian said: “I was like, ‘That's the perfect place to do it. She'd never see it coming.’”

The kids were a big part of Brian popping the question, Sharna said: “We head into our bedroom and I start to get these feelings of like, ‘Oh my God.’ He's like, ‘Hey, kids come here.’ And the kids come in with him and Noah is holding Zane and Journey is holding this little red Cartier box.”

With everyone in the room, Brian asked Sharna to ‘spend the rest of your life with us’.

Sharna added: “Of course I said yes and I put that ring on my finger. I hugged all of them and it was the most perfect, beautiful moment because it was us. It was our unit, our tribe, and I love that that's how he wanted to do it.”

The couple met in 2020 at a café after they were introduced by a mutual friend. Looking back at their first date, which wasn’t long after Brian’s divorce from Megan, he said: “On our first date, we just completely lost track of time and the same thing happened the next time.

"It became something noticeably different from anything I'd ever experienced before.”

They became a couple shortly after and moved in together during lockdown, and the following year even danced together on Dancing With The Stars where they came in 13th place losing out to winner Iman Shumpert.
