The ink is still fresh on Barbie Ferreira’s new back tattoo. On April 25, the “Euphoria” star appeared on tattoo artist David Enth’s Instagram Stories, where she showed off her first back tattoo, an abstract butterfly etched on her skin in black ink. Per Enth’s signature style, Ferreira’s massive new tattoo, which stretches from her midback past her waistline, features delicate yet sharp lines that create the silhouette of a butterfly with outstretched wings. From every angle, the edgy design looks like a tattoo Kat Hernandez would get inked in a heartbeat.
Ferreira also got matching heart tattoos with her partner, Elle Puckett, in March courtesy of tattoos4realz, adding to her growing tattoo collection. The “Euphoria” star’s other works of body art include a spiral butt tattoo inked by Puckett, a fairy on the back of her arm, and a hidden design on her breast.
In an interview with Allure in December, Ferreira explained that her tattoos are a visual representation of her freedom to be herself. “I really felt like I couldn’t do anything [to my body] for so long,” she said. “I couldn’t even cut my hair one inch, or I’d lose clients when I was a model. So I guess it does represent something — me taking over my own self.”
Taking up the entire lower half of her back, the unique butterfly tattoo is in the perfect spot to show off during swimsuit season, and we know Ferreira’s bikini collection is ready to see the sunshine.
