You can spend the night in a converted fire engine with fireman’s pole and uniform fancy dress – and kids will love it

YOU can spend the night living out your dream of being a fireman in a converted fire truck, complete with a fireman's pole and real uniforms to dress up in.

Kids will also love the fire truck beds – and you can stay for just £20 each a night.

The Red Rescue Retreat is found in Keswick in the Lake District.

Sleeping four, the fire truck has a master bedroom with a king-size bed, as well as a twin bedroom.

Also inside is the fireman's pole although this can be locked for any parents worried about their kids falling down it.

There is even a cabin in the fire truck with children’s fireman’s costumes and the truck's disused hose pipe, for children to play with.

A kitchen lounge area included a large sofa and bean bags as well as a Smart TV.

Along with a shower room and toilet, there is even a  private sauna too.

When the weather gets better, guests can enjoy an amazing view of the countryside too from the outside decking area.

Previous guests praised the fire engine, with many saying it was perfect for the younger travellers.

One person wrote: "A fabulous place to stay. Grandchildren had an amazing time dressing up and there was everything we needed for a comfortable and fun stay. "

Another added: "My two boys aged 6 and 8 loved the pole and dressing up clothes."

Someone else agreed: "The fireman's pole provided the boys with plenty of exercise, they played dress up and read their fireman books in the fire truck bed. They loved every second of it."

Stays start from £506 for the week, working out to £20 each, per night.

It isn't the only amazing former fire engine in the UK – one couple decided to convert an old fire truck into their dream family home, with a log burner, shower room, sound system and a bunk bed for their kids onboard.

Or you can spend the night on a converted double-decker bus, which has been transformed into a holiday home.
