The gross smells Chessington uses to make their rides more fun – including dung and vomit | The Sun

CHESSINGTON World of Adventures has revealed all the smells they use across the theme park to make their rides extra fun.

Like many parks, Chessington uses its guests' sense of smell to add an extra element of fun to its attractions.

Helping them do that are smell experts AromaPrime, who are renowned for causing a stink at countless sites all over the world and who have worked with Chessington for more than 30 years.

With Halloween approaching, AromaPrime has created a further smell to add to the collection at Chessington, by combining all of the most pungent scents found at the park.

The collection of smells has been whittled down to a potent blend, which includes skunk spray, rhino dung and penguin vomit, all blended with the sweetly creepy and musty smell of Vampire – Chessington’s first-scented roller coaster.

Liam R. Findlay, scenting specialist at AromaPrime, explained: "We know that a multi-sensory experience is key to core memory as smell receptors are directly connected to the part of the brain that processes memories and emotions.

"Smells from your youth have an incredible ability to trigger memories, even if you're not sure why.

"That’s why smells are brilliant for enhancing experiences and why we know Chessington’s Halloween blend will evoke the childlike, but gruesome fun of the season."

Chessington's Howl'o'ween celebrations run from October 15-30 this year.

The Witches of Adventure Point will be back again this year casting spells all over the park, as well as Wilf the Werewolf, who is joined by Violet the Vampire Bat in their show The Misadventures of Wilf & Violet.
