Popular European country drops Covid pass rules for Brits to enter restaurants and bars

THE Czech Republic has scrapped its Covid pass requirement, making it easier for Brits to enter restaurants and events.

Czech authorities have ditched rules requiring people to show vaccine certificates to enter some venues due to a decrease in Omicron infections.

People in the country are no longer required to show a vaccine pass to enter bars, restaurants, hairdressers and sports events.

This will come as a boost to any Brits with plans to visit the Czech Republic during half term.

The news has also been welcomed by Czech hospitality workers, who have suffered during the pandemic.

As reported in Reuters, restaurant manager Tomas Lachman said: "The relaxation means guests can come without any restriction or persecution, that's of course welcome… This has been long for everyone, not just us in gastronomy, but the entire society."

Face masks are still required indoors and social distancing measures should still be followed.

The Czech Republic is the latest European country to ease restrictions in time for the school holidays.

Today, Spain announced it is scrapping the requirement for kids under 18 to be vaccinated to enter the country.

The 33 countries Brits can enter without needing a single Covid test

From February 14, unvaccinated kids will no longer need to have both jabs to enter the country.

The new rules are a huge boost for British families with half term holiday plans.

Another UK travel restriction was scrapped this morning, meaning fully vaccinated Brits don't need to take a lateral flow test when they return from a holiday.

The change will save families from forking out for lateral flow tests when they get back from a holiday.

Greece and Portugal are the latest countries to ditch their testing requirements, meaning Brits don't need a negative Covid test to enter if they are fully vaccinated.

But be careful, seven European hotspots have put expiration dates on vaccine certificates, which means some Brits won't be able to visit during half term if they haven't had their booster jab.

We've rounded up the 33 countries Brits can enter without needing a single Covid test.
