Now owned by locals who formed The Old Forge Community Benefit Society, there are new plans for the pub, including the restaurant next year.

Stephanie Harris, secretary of the society, said: "When you live in such a small community like we do, the pub plays such a bigger role than just a place to kind of go and eat and drink. It's a place where everyone can get together."
