BUCKINGHAM Palace opens its doors to the public only once a year.

Those taking part in the tour are offered a rare glimpse into one of the official residences of His Majesty the King.


The State Rooms are only open during the summer when the Palace is not used for official functions.

The rooms are decorated with works of art, including paintings by renowned artists like Rembrandt and Rubens.

You'll also have the chance to admire sculptures by Canova, rare pieces of Sèvres porcelain, and some of the world's finest English and French furniture.

After a fascinating tour of the State Rooms, you can head to the popular Garden Café, which offers stunning views across the Palace's famous gardens.

Tickets to the tours start from £30pp, and it lasts about 3 hours.

The audio guide will be available in many languages, including English, Spanish, Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Japanese.

It is worth noting that specific guidelines must be followed when visiting Buckingham Palace's State Rooms.

Photography and filming are prohibited inside the State Rooms.

However, taking pictures and filming in the garden is allowed.

Pushchairs cannot be taken inside for safety reasons, but free baby carriers can be borrowed.
