Couple pay just £20.70 for Jet2 package holiday with return flights – here is how | The Sun

A COUPLE has revealed how they'll pay just £20.70 for a package holiday – and it includes return flights.

Truck driver Keith Maher and his wife Jacqueline managed to get the cheap break with the Jet2 Bid for a Break scheme.

After choosing the lowest unique number of £20.70, they were told that they were the lucky winners of the holiday.

The break includes seven nights at the Marriott Hotel & Spa in St Julians in Malta, with return flights and transfers included from the UK.

Keith, from Carlisle, said: “The amount I bid was just the first two numbers that came into my head.

"I’m delighted that it worked – my wife Jaqueline and I are really looking forward to a sunny getaway to Malta.”

Jet2 boss Steve Heapy added: "Congratulations to Keith for successfully bidding for a holiday with Jet2holidays through our ‘Bid for a Break’ campaign.

"We wish Keith and his wife Jaqueline a lovely holiday in Malta."

To take part, customers need to decide on the price they want to pay and place a bid via the Jet2 app.

If they are the only user to bid that amount and that amount is the lowest, they will buy the holiday for that price.

Bids open at 9am every Monday with different locations to bid on until Thursday at midday. Winners are then announced that day.

Destinations include popular holiday hotspots in Europe, such as the Spanish Islands, Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Turkey.

Applicants still get a £60 off code to use via the website even if they don't win the break.

One of the biggest winners was Lynn Marriot who landed a seven-night holiday to Crete including return flights with Jet2 for 2p last year.
