You need to see Louisa Lytton with a blunt long bob and a curtain fringe

In big hair transformation news of the week, former EastEnders star Louisa Lytton has just chopped inches off the length of her hair – and as you might imagine, the results are pretty spectacular.

The 33 year old, who gave birth to her baby girl Aura last August, took to Instagram to share the results of the transformation which sees her swap her long lengths for a blunt lob (long bob) and eyelash-skimming curtain bangs. Naturally, fans are loving her new look, but what they’re loving even more is Louisa’s description of the haircut.

“I call this the ‘Don’t F with me, I made a whole human being’ chop,” she writes in the video’s caption.

“It’s been a long time coming. Being a mum finally gave me the confidence to sit in @avahollandhair chair and say I need a change, something for me. She said ‘let’s go’. Let’s really go…,” she adds.

“Wow big change and I love it!” comments one fan, while another adds: “Looks amazing, really suits you.”

A third chimes in with: “You're making me want to go short,” while a fourth says: “Beautiful! I like the colour and the length.”

The video shows just what a drastic transformation Louisa underwent in the hair salon. She starts the clip by appearing with her previous extra-long, extra thick brunette hairstyle, and finishes it with a tousled and blunt below-the-shoulder bob. She plays out the makeover to the sound of Beyoncé’s COZY.

We also wonder if Louisa treated herself to a hair colour appointment while she was there as the ends of her shorter hair look like they’ve been given a bit of balayage treatment. Either way, her warm coppery ends are perfect for the autumn season.

On the subject of colour trends, copper is definitely going to be big for September/October time, says Syd Hayes, BaByliss ambassador and hair stylist-to-the-stars. “I love deep copper shades, especially auburn tones; think Phoebe Dynevor and Gigi Hadid. This colour is hard to keep as it fades so quickly but always looks so beautiful. Ask your colourist if they can give you a top up gloss to use at home for when you want to add a little more intensity. Failing that, pop back into the salon for a little touch-up gloss treatment,” he says.
