Vlogger Sukhi Mann uses dental floss to remove BLACKHEADS and it's a surprisingly effective beauty tool

THE internet is awash with weird and wonderful beauty tricks, some ingenious, some surprising and some just down-right disturbing.

Today's off-the-wall beauty tip to  hit the headlines is dental floss. Yep – you heard that right.

Thanks to beauty vlogger Sukhi Mann dental floss has become the latest tool you didn't know you needed.

The Youtuber recently uploaded a video on Instagram of herself removing her blackheads to with flosser picks.

Sukhi starts off by wetting a towel with hot water and placing it on her face, leaving it to soak for five minutes.

She then took the picks and ran them over her nose, but warns viewer to "be sure not to over do it".

The beauty vlogger then recommends that you cleanse the area and finish with toner and moisturiser.

In the comments she explained: "This trick helps to extract whiteheads and blackheads. This hack definitely works!"

However not everyone was convinced, one commenter said: "I'm an esthetician and this is totally wrong. Blackheads and white heads have a root and that's just scraping off the top layer, not pulling at the follicle itself. It's just going to reappear."

The beauty vlogger took the time to reply to her critic explaining that the method had proved effective for her.

Sukhi said: "Worked for me steaming helps with opening up the pores and then using this method it does remove them from the root but thank you for your professional opinion."

This isn't the first bizarre beauty trend – and we know it won't be the last – last week we brought you news of a beauty vlogger using a Louboutin shoe to blend her foundation.

And before that vlogger Gabriella road tested the unique bubble tea face masks with surprisingly positive results.
