A food blogger has revealed a simple three-ingredient recipe for making perfectly fluffy hash browns, which taste ‘just like’ the ones you get at McDonald’s.
‘You will not believe these McDonald’s hash browns. They are literally three ingredients and so crispy and fluffy on the inside,’ said in the recipe.
She adds: ‘The first thing I did was used russet potatoes and peeled two for my recipe and I cut them into thirds and part-boiled them.
Ingredients
- Potatoes
- Corn starch
- Eggs
Method
‘That means you’re gonna partially cook them, so I boiled them for about eight minutes and let them cool and then grate and add one egg and a tablespoon of corn starch.
She goes on: ‘Mix it in and shape on parchment paper and put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes, then fry them on high heat and enjoy.’

The technique sees chefs first simmering the potatoes in water to cook off any starch before putting them in cold fridge or freezer, and then deep-frying them and seasoning them.
The video racked up thousands of comments, with many saying they were keen to try it themselves, with others saying they look even better than McDonald’s.
